Bölge halkı gelip Bordeaux (Bordo) kalesini anlatarak bizi orayı görmeye heveslendirdiler. Biz de yola çıktık. Bu kale, şehrin dışında, nehir kenarında inşa edilmiş gayet yüksek, hoş bir tarzda kurulmuş, sağlam ve korunaklı bir yapıdır. Kaleye girdiğimizde büyük top atışlarıyla şenlikler yaptılar. Kale komutanının makamına çıktığımızda, yukarıda güzel bir bahçe düzenlendiğini ve bütün şehri ve limanı gören yüksek bir köşk yapıldığını gördük.
Tirs de canon à Bordeaux : Les habitants de la région nous parlèrent du château de Bordeaux et nous encouragèrent à le visiter. Nous prîmes donc la route. Ce château, situé en dehors de la ville, est une construction très élevée, magnifiquement conçue, robuste et bien protégée. Lorsque nous entrâmes dans le château, des salves de canon célébrèrent notre arrivée. En montant dans les quartiers du commandant de la forteresse, nous découvrîmes un splendide jardin aménagé, ainsi qu’un pavillon surélevé offrant une vue imprenable sur la ville et le port.
Cannon Salute in Bordeaux : The locals came to tell us about the Château of Bordeaux and encouraged us to visit it. So we set off. This castle, located outside the city, is a very tall construction, pleasantly designed, solid, and well protected. As we entered the castle, cannon salvos celebrated our arrival. . Upon ascending to the fortress commander’s quarters, we saw that a beautiful garden had been laid out on the top, as well as an elevated pavilion offering a view over the entire city and the port.
